Day 1
Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport

Upon landing at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by a professional representative from Cheetah Chase Safaris. After a short briefing about your safari adventure, you’ll enjoy a comfortable drive of approximately 1 hour (50 km) to Arusha town, known as the safari gateway of northern Tanzania. The drive offers your first glimpse of Mount Meru, lush coffee plantations, and the bustling life of small local villages along the route.
Once in Arusha, you will have time to relax, recover from your flight, and prepare for the exciting days ahead. Depending on your arrival time, you may take a brief city tour of Arusha, visit the Cultural Heritage Centre, or enjoy a quiet evening soaking in the ambiance of the Tanzanian highlands. Dinner will be served with a delightful selection of local and international dishes, giving you your first taste of Tanzanian hospitality.

Day 2
Arusha National Park

After an early breakfast, your driver-guide will pick you up for a short 45-minute drive (35 km) to Arusha National Park, one of Tanzania’s most scenic and diverse reserves. The park sits at the foot of Mount Meru and is home to a variety of habitats including lush rainforests, alkaline Momella Lakes, and grassy savannahs. During your morning game drive, you may encounter giraffes gracefully feeding on treetops, herds of buffalo grazing in open fields, and colobus monkeys leaping from branch to branch in the forest canopy.
A picnic lunch will be enjoyed inside the park, where you can take in the tranquil beauty of the surroundings, with Mount Meru standing majestically in the background. In the afternoon, you may embark on a guided walking safari with an armed ranger or opt for canoeing on Momella Lakes, where you can spot flamingos and hippos at close range. Lake Manyara National Park

Today begins early with breakfast followed by a scenic two-hour drive (130 km) from Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park, passing through the Maasai steppe filled with colorful markets and small farming villages. Upon entering the park, you’ll be greeted by a dense forest teeming with baboons and blue monkeys. The park’s highlight is its dazzling soda lake, home to thousands of flamingos and other water birds.
As you explore, keep your eyes open for tree-climbing lions, a rare and fascinating sight unique to this park. You’ll also encounter elephants, wildebeests, and hippos, as well as impressive landscapes that range from woodlands to open grasslands. Enjoy a picnic lunch overlooking the shimmering lake before continuing your afternoon game drive. Later in the day, exit the park and head toward Mto wa Mbu village, a bustling local community known for its cultural diversity. Return to your lodge in the evening for a relaxing dinner.

Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast, embark on a two-hour drive (80 km) to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, often referred to as the “Eighth Wonder of the World.” Descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, a natural caldera that hosts one of the densest concentrations of wildlife in Africa. The crater floor, covering about 260 square kilometers, is a haven for large mammals including elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, and an extraordinary variety of predators such as lions and hyenas. With some luck, you may even spot the elusive black rhinoceros grazing in the open plains.
