Day 1

Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport

Upon landing at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be greeted by a friendly representative from Cheetah Chase Safaris and taken on a comfortable 1-hour drive (50 km) to Arusha, the safari capital of northern Tanzania. The journey offers your first glimpses of rural landscapes, coffee plantations, and, on clear days, views of Mount Meru rising above the clouds.

Depending on your arrival time, you may unwind at your lodge or explore Arusha town visit the Cultural Heritage Centre, shop for handcrafted souvenirs, or enjoy a relaxed evening sampling Tanzanian cuisine. Your safari guide will meet you later for a short briefing on your upcoming adventure.

Day 2

Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, begin your journey to Tarangire National Park, approximately a 2-hour drive (120 km) southwest of Arusha. As you approach the park, the landscape changes to open acacia woodlands dotted with towering baobab trees ancient sentinels that dominate the Tarangire ecosystem.

Spend your day on photographic game drives through this elephant haven. Tarangire boasts one of Tanzania’s largest elephant populations and an incredible diversity of wildlife including lions, leopards, giraffes, and wildebeests. The Tarangire River, the park’s lifeline, attracts large herds of animals during the dry season, creating prime photo opportunities.

Day 3

Serengeti National Park

Today you embark on a scenic 5–6-hour drive (270 km) to the legendary Serengeti National Park. Along the way, you’ll pass through the Great Rift Valley escarpment and the Ngorongoro highlands, offering breathtaking views and photo stops.

Once you enter the Serengeti, the vast golden plains unfold before you, teeming with wildlife. The Central Serengeti (Seronera region) is renowned for its abundant resident animals including large prides of lions, elegant cheetahs, and elusive leopards lounging in acacia trees.

Day 4

Northern Serengeti

After an early breakfast, set off for the Northern Serengeti, a journey of about 3–4 hours (150 km) through beautiful open plains and rolling hills. This area is best known for hosting the Great Wildebeest Migration, particularly between July and October, when thousands of wildebeest and zebras attempt to cross the crocodile-filled Mara River.

Day 5

Full-Day Game Drive in the Northern Serengeti

Day 6

Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Upon arrival, descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, often called the “Eighth Wonder of the World.” This unique ecosystem shelters over 25,000 animals in just 260 square kilometers.
