Day 1

Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be greeted warmly by a professional representative from Cheetah Chase Safaris. After a brief introduction and safari briefing, you’ll take a comfortable 1-hour drive (approximately 55 km) to Arusha, the bustling safari capital of Tanzania, nestled at the foot of Mount Meru. The remainder of your day will be free for rest after your international flight. Depending on your arrival time, you may opt for a short city tour, visit the Cultural Heritage Centre, or simply unwind while soaking in the views of Mount Meru from your hotel.

Day 2

Tarangire National Park

After an early breakfast, embark on a 2.5-hour scenic drive (about 120 km) southwest to Tarangire National Park, a haven famed for its vast herds of elephants and iconic baobab trees. As you enter the park, you’ll be greeted by the timeless rhythm of nature zebras grazing alongside wildebeest, giraffes browsing the acacia woodlands, and lions resting under the shade. Spend the full day on game drives across Tarangire’s rolling savannahs and along the Tarangire River, a vital water source that draws wildlife year-round. Day 3

Lake Eyasi & The Hadzabe Tribe

After breakfast, drive approximately 3.5 hours (around 160 km) to Lake Eyasi, a remote soda lake situated on the southern edge of the Ngorongoro Highlands. Here, you’ll encounter the Hadzabe tribe, one of Africa’s last remaining hunter-gatherer communities. Join them for an authentic cultural exchange learning how they hunt using traditional bows, gather wild fruits, and make fire from sticks. Later, visit the Datoga tribe, known for their ancient blacksmithing techniques, where you’ll witness the crafting of handmade arrows and ornaments. Day 4

Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, drive for about 2 hours (90 km) to Lake Manyara National Park, renowned for its lush forests, alkaline lake, and famous tree-climbing lions. Entering the park, you’ll be surrounded by a green oasis teeming with life baboons playing by the roadside, elephants bathing in the lake, and flamingos painting the horizon pink. Day 5

Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, set out for the Serengeti National Park, a drive of approximately 5–6 hours (around 220 km) through the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, stop at viewpoints overlooking the Ngorongoro Crater before continuing across the vast plains of the Serengeti. By midday, you’ll arrive in the central Seronera region, famous for its high concentration of wildlife. After breakfast, drive back to Arusha (approximately 4 hours, 190 km) where you’ll take a short domestic flight to Zanzibar. Upon landing, a Cheetah Chase Safaris representative will meet and transfer you to your beachside hotel. Spend the remainder of the day relaxing on the island’s white-sand beaches, watching the turquoise waters shimmer under the tropical sun.
